George submitted the following biographical details in February 2019:

After Penn Charter, I graduated from Dickinson College in 1964 along with Frazier and Hemphill. Then on to the military (Pennsylvania National Guard) until 1970. Started in the  brokerage business in 1968 (the Dow hit 585!). Along the way, married Susan Smith and we had two children, Bradley and Sarah, Both attended GA and graduated in ‘86 and ‘88. In fact, two of my grandchildren are currently at GA.

Susan died of breast cancer at the age of 36 in 1983 and I was faced with the unenviable task of raising them the best that I could. It worked out just fine, as they both have college degrees and are doing extremely well in their chosen professions.

Tiel and I built our house in Upper Bucks County in 1988 and married in 1996. After 39 years in the investment business, I retired in 2006, with my son taking over my book. I have many interests, including a large vegetable garden, cooking, wine, and taking care of our beautiful 10 acres.

I must admit that with the passing of Harmon and others, I have experienced a rather deep sense of melancholy. It is difficult to face the fact that life is winding down and that some of our classmates are no longer with us. However, spending a lot of time with Allman and his indomitable spirit is uplifting.
